Computing Support

Our intention is to provide Projects Staff with information and resources that will aid in the day to day support of a project's computing infrastructure.


Information has been split into three categories:

  • Software - Projects are entitled to specific software licensed through SDSURF as well as SDSU. In some cases the software is also available for use on home computers. Full a complete list visit the Projects Software web page.
  • Hardware - Hardware troubleshooting should only be attempted by trained professionals. Opening a computer with out first consulting the vendor may void your vendor warranty. Please visit the Hardware web page for vendor contact information and additional hardware resources.
  • Other Recommendations - For information on backup stategies, networking and other areas beyond the scope of hardware and software please visit the Other Recommendations web page.
