New Employees

On behalf of the Computing Services Department, welcome. Please review the information provided below to get started with a SDSURF e-mail account.


E-mail Account

Upon request, SDSURF Human Resources will provide you with an e-mail account when your new hire paperwork is submitted. If an e-mail account was not provided you may register for one using the Projects E-mail Account Registration form.

Reset Your Password

Once you have received confirmation that your e-mail account has been approved, you will need to reset your temporary password. Logon to My Service Desk and click on the the "Change My Password" link located on the left side navigation. For those who have already setup up a Challenge Question and Answer you have the option of using the Password/PIN Reset Form.

SDSURF Policy prohibits the sharing of your password with anyone including supervisors.


My Service Desk

With a registered e-mail address, My Service Desk a personalized service desk is available to all employees. When you first logon make sure to update the following information.

  • RedID - Use the "My E-mail Account" link to verify that your RedID is accurate. RedID is used as the primary unique identifier throughout the system.
  • Challenge Question and Answer - Use the "My E-mail Account" link make sure to set a Challenge Question and Answer. This will allow you to reset your password/PIN online in the event you forget your current password/PIN.
  • Online Search Directory - Use the "My Online Directory Information" link to verify that your business phone number and InterCampus Mailcode are accurate. This information will be available on our online directory as well as to all Foundation e-mail users via Outlook, Outlook Web Access and Exchange ActiveSync Smartphones.
